Our Mission.
Driving with Passion.
As a group of individuals involved in the healthcare scene, we kept asking ourselves: how can we give a little joy, a little love, a little hope, back to those who need it most? We thought about our collective passions for health, volunteering, cars, and working with children and decided to marry them into an organization: Toy Run Chicago NFP. Toy Run Chicago began with a simple goal: to give back to our community. Through charity events (particularly car shows!), fundraising, and collecting of donations, we aim to collect toys, clothing, and hygiene products for sick and displaced children in the Chicagoland area. In doing so, we hope to inspire others to join us in spreading love to our neighbors, all year round!

Dr. Yanni Lafazanos - Co-Founder.
Yanni is a medical resident at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital with a passion for learning and a heart for giving. His love for connecting with others manifests in his community involvement and Podcast (The Logues Podcast) dedicated to understanding. Some of Yanni’s favorite topics include history, mythology, and social psychology.

Michael Kulisz - Co-Founder.
Michael is a medical student at Midwestern University. He has a passion for cars that inspires him to determine new ways to combine his interests with a chance to give back to those in need. Some of Michael’s interests include health and fitness, as well as spending time with family and listening to podcasts!

Eleni Lafazanos - Co-Founder.
Eleni is an optometry student at Midwestern University. She has a passion for connecting with others through her love of language (she speaks 3!), learning, and cooking. She is the author of “War and all His Friends.” Eleni emphasizes her faith and love of Orthodoxy as her driving force.

Iannis Moshovitis - Co-Founder.
Ianni is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago who aims to attend medical school. Ianni has a passion for the sciences that he combines with his love for helping those in need, qualities that will make him a great orthopedic surgeon one day! Some of Ianni’s favorite things include spending time with family and friends, attending car shows, and traveling.

Gurkamal Grewal - Co-Founder.
Gurkamal is a student studying Neuroscience at Loyola University Chicago with a passion for health and fitness. His determination and love for volunteering and helping others have shaped him into a compassionate individual and a great candidate to be an orthopedic spinal surgeon in the future! In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Christina Lafazanos - Secretary.
Christina is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago and current MPH/MBA candidate with a passion for the political science, the arts, and cinematography. She aims to enrich the lives of children in the Chicago area and beyond through her love of volunteer work and community building.
